Scott Carmachel, D.C.

Dr. Scott Carmachel graduated from Naperville Central High School. Upon graduation he attended Illinois State University where he received a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.

He then attended National University of Health Sciences and obtained his Doctorate in Chiropractic and a B.S. in Human Biology. During his 5 years of education at National University he studied various ways to treat for physical and internal healthcare issues. While in school he received additional training in soft tissue techniques, Graston Therapy, Flexion/Distraction Treatment for low back disorders, and physical therapy exercises.

Dr. Carmachel has also completed additional certifications in acupuncture, custom orthotic fitting, Functional Medicine and Therapeutic Lifestyle Counseling. With Functional Medicine and Therapeutic Lifestyle Counseling he is able to help address the issues that are causing or have the potential to cause poor health. It naturally addresses issues like: weight loss, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and high or low blood sugar. His Functional Medicine training can also can help with more complicated diseases such as thyroid disorders, autoimmune diseases, adrenal disorders, and much more.

Dr. Carmachel has extensive education through the Carrick Institute of Graduate Studies in Neurology. This training allows him to perform an examination to help identify weaknesses within the body and customize a specific treatment protocol to address those issues with various forms of treatments.

With his comprehensive education in Neurology, he started applying it to children with learning disorders. He started seeing success not only in their physical abilities, but their parents stated they also started behaving and performing better in school. Upon completion of post graduate education in Childhood Developmental Disorders he began his program, Brain Coordination Therapy. This comprehensive treatment system is designed to address the underlying causes of Childhood Developmental Disorders. He uses it to treat disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, Autism, Tic/Tourette’s, and many more.
